The Silvan Society is a standing membership in a hilltop patch of the Cascades, built for people whose taste is still finding itself. No wine degree required.
Two shipments a year, timed to spring and harvest. Two members-only release events above the forest. First taste of the wines we make in tiny lots. A slower kind of year.
“You know the feeling of nodding along, pretending you can tell the difference? This is where that stops.
You join to get better at knowing what you love, with a place and a few people who are glad you're back.
What membership actually gives you
Five things, in the order that matters.
01
You learn to actually taste.
Membership is a slow, no-pressure education in your own palate. Members get guided tastings, first dibs on how-to-taste sessions, and a staff that explains without ever making you feel behind.
02
The wines that never reach a shelf.
Members get first access to small-lot and library wines the public rarely sees: a Barbera so good it earned a near-perfect score, a Gold-medal Carménère, and whatever the hill gives us in a tiny year.
Current library list still to confirm.
03
Treated like a regular, not a customer.
Known by name. The good pours. A table held on request. Member rates on private sessions and igloo evenings, the difference between visiting a winery and arriving somewhere.
04
A place that's yours.
Members-only weekends above the forest, harvest gatherings, and a small community of people on the same path: figuring out, unhurried, what they actually like.
05 · And yes — members save on every bottle, get library-wine pricing, and lodging discounts when they visit. For most members it pays for itself in a couple of releases.
Who's already up here
500+ members. Since 2008.
People who live two hours away, who keep coming back anyway. The shipments and the weekends are how distance stops mattering.
