Silvara means of the forest. We pour Italian and Bordeaux-style wines, made mostly from Washington grapes, on a hilltop above Leavenworth, above the tree line and away from the noise.
You don't need to know wine to belong here. You just need to be curious about what you like.
Your first afternoon here is a lesson disguised as a good time.
Start at the counter, not in a tour group. We pour, you taste, you tell us what you notice. There are no wrong answers and no one to impress. By the time you leave, you'll have found a few wines that are unmistakably yours.

What happens on the third visit.
The first time, you find a wine you love. The third time, this stops being a winery and starts being your place.
The Silvan Society is how people who live two hours away keep coming back: two shipments a year, members-only weekends in the forest, first access to the wines that never reach a shelf, and a standing reason to slow down. It’s less a wine club than a slow education in what you actually like.
