A young wine has its own qualities, and is a pleasure to explore as it ages. This Merlot opens with aromas of herbs, a touch of spice, and later, a bit of cherry pie with a whiff of cinnamon. The cherry carries over from nose to palate, with the addition of plum. Softer and more accessible than Cabernet Sauvignon, this versatile Merlot offers softer tannins, making it an excellent match for less heavy dishes of beef, veal, lamb, pork, a hearty chicken dish or a rich pasta. Age-worthy, it will develop nicely in the cellar.
