Welcome to Silvara Vineyards
Silvara Vineyards established in 2008 by winemaker Gary Seidler who gained is knowledge at UC Davis and Cindy Rarick 25 year LPGA Touring Professional. Gary’s farming desire to grow grapes and create special wines is what brought them to Washington with all its abundant agriculture. They acquired a beautiful 5 acre hillside pear orchard in Leavenworth and built a large timber frame and stone design tasting room with expansive windows to enjoy the dramatic views. There are 3 fireplaces, 2 fire pits will be added in 2010 along with an outdoor wood fired pizza oven; also a fully equipped catering kitchen that will serve light fare. Future plans include a 2000 barrel storage facility in hillside caves, and a full entertainment calendar.
Silvara’s 2007 wines include a Reisling from Quincy, a Chardonnay and Cabernet Savignon from the Wahluke Slope. There will be a greater selection of varietals in future releases.
Gary and Cindy intend to share their experiences with the many people from all over the world who walk though their door.
